About Coco

Origin and Vision

I come from a 9-person family. My mother is of Irish decent and my Father Mexican, Native, and Japanese. Growing up in Southwest Denver I always felt loved and knew someone was always home. We took care of one another. We were at mass each Sunday with regular neighborhood activities. My family owned restaurants and all the kids grew up working there. Aside from the normal brother and sister bickering, threats to tell mom and dad on this or that, we knew we had each other.

I was taught how to sew at the age of 8 and never stopped creating. All of us are artistic in our own right. From fine portraits to pattern creations, we all have thought outside of the box. Architectural design home building and interior decoration was our specialty.

My personal strength of fashion design, interior showcasing, and mix media art. Who says art is only flat and colorless. Live Large and out loud. That is my mantra!

My art comes from deep inside my soul, ancestors that have left me, and our living loved ones. Look deep inside the texture of my customized/converted dimensional pieces. Some make me laugh and some bring deep memories. Each one is thoughtfully created. The Mexican colors are repurposed/regenerated throwaway items. I love each piece of my art!
